The Tokyo Motorsports Engine Shop is dedicated to providing high quality builds, with a no compromise approach.

Small capacity, high output engines need to be seen as what they are; precision instruments. The smaller the engine, the tighter the tolerances and more difficult it is to get them right.

Tokyo Motorsports has a long history of building engines and as a result, we have developed processes, and refined our suppliers, to make sure that we do get it right, every single time. 

Once the engine specification have been decided, and parts sourced, the engine block is sent for machining. We only use the highest quality engine machinists available in WA, to make sure all the clearances are perfect and all the important surfaces have the correct finish.

Cylinder heads are fully rebuilt, including; reface, tappet adjustment, dry lash adjustment, valve seats re-cut, and guides replaced (if required).

Piston/bore clearances are checked and double checked, as are rods, main bearings, big end bearings, thrust, side clearance and a host of other checks, measurements and adjustments to make sure that your engine goes back together exactly how it should be. 

All ancillary parts (brackets, housings, etc) are sent for vapor blasting and/or repainting to bring them back to their original finish, if not better.

Once all the components and machining are ready for assembly, the engine is then assembled in our temperature controlled, engine clean room.
