Kelford Cams 272° camshafts have become the standard for making the best power from your 4G63 powered Evo. These are our most commonly fitted camshaft many times over.
You will also need some cam gears and a set of uprated valve springs. Engine tuning is required after fitting these camshafts.
These cam gears are used to make fine adjustment to valve timing. Installation requires engine tuning to ensure safe operation. Recommended (and often required) when installing aftermarket camshaft upgrades.
Evolution 4-8 models require two cam gears.
Evolution 9 models require only one cam gear due to running the MIVEC system.
We recommend pairing these gears with a set of Kelford Cams 272° camshafts for best results in most applications.
Uprated valve springs are a requirement when fitting most aftermarket cams. The titanium retainers included in this set reduce the mass of the assembly, allowing higher engine RPM and further ensuring the elimination of valve float.
