Evolution IV – IX power upgrades

Tokyo Motorsports has a range of power upgrades kits for Evo IV – IX that are tried, tested and guaranteed to deliver. If you want more power from your Evo IV – IX then these options are for you.

There are literally thousands of aftermarket parts out there to suit the Evo IV – IX. Some work, others don’t. Some work well together, others don’t – and there are even some out there that won’t actually fit at all. As a result, selecting your next performance upgrade can be a frustrating experience (and expensive if you get it wrong).

The T-Series power upgrade kits have been developed using our own Evo VII development car (pictured above) to help take the guesswork out of modifying your Evo IV – IX. Each kit builds on the previous one so there is no discarding of parts as you move from one power level to the next – perfect for those who want to modify in stages. The kits are tried, tested and guaranteed to work.

Typically, each kit consists of a range of hardware upgrades, followed by a remap of the ECU using our in-house 4WD Dynapack hub dyno and the very latest open-source tuning software.

In addition to our packaged upgrades we offer numerous other power upgrade solutions. Many of the Evo IV – IX’s that we see are already modified to some extent so we often tailor power upgrades to suit existing modifications.

Additionally, although we do not list a specific kit for Evo IV, V and VI, the Evo VII and VIII kits can be adapted to suit.

EVO VII & VIII-GSR

The T-300 kit is the first step in modifying your Evo VII or VIII GSR. These are the essential, good quality parts needed to get good gains from your Evo. The free flowing cat-back exhaust works in conjunction with the boost control solenoid and remapped ECU to deliver more boost and midrange torque. Fuel, ignition and boost control tables are all adjusted, together with speed limiters and boost limiters.

T-300 cars feel much more energetic than a standard car, especially around the spool up and peak torque areas.

The T-300 kit consists of the following:

  • Tokyo Motorsports 3″ stainless steel cat-back exhaust
  • Tokyo Motorsports 4.5″ polished stainless steel cannon muffler
  • Hi-Flow panel type air filter for the stock air box
  • Uprated metal blowoff valve replaces the factory plastic BOV
  • Uprated 3-port boost control solenoid
  • Uprated fuel pump
  • Ground-up tune and remap of the ECU

Power output is raised from 270bhp to 300bhp.

Building on the T-300 kit, the T-350 kit is the second step in modifying your Evo VII or VIII GSR and takes the stock turbos close to their airflow limit. The free flowing turbo-back exhaust works in conjunction with the boost control solenoid and remapped ECU to deliver more boost and torque throughout the midrange and peak power areas. Fuel, ignition and boost control tables are all carefully adjusted, together with speed limiters and boost limiters.

T-350 cars feel much more powerful than a standard car. Spool up and peak torque areas are greatly improved and overall peak power is much more impressive than a standard car.

The T-350 kit consists of the following:

  • Custom 3″ stainless dump pipe & front pipe
  • Tokyo Motorsports 3″ stainless steel 100-cell catalytic converter
  • Tokyo Motorsports 3″ stainless steel cat-back exhaust
  • Tokyo Motorsports 4.5″ polished stainless steel cannon muffler
  • High-flow panel type air filter for the stock air box
  • Silicone air intake/suction pipe
  • Uprated metal blowoff valve replaces the factory plastic BOV
  • Uprated 3-port boost control solenoid
  • Uprated fuel pump
  • Ground-up tune and remap of the ECU

Power output is raised from 270bhp to 350bhp.


EVO VIII-MR

The T-320 kit is the first step in modifying your Evo VIII-MR. These are the essential, good quality parts needed to get good gains from your Evo. The free flowing cat-back exhaust works in conjunction with the 3-port boost control solenoid and remapped ECU to deliver more boost and torque in the midrange while the lightweight VIII-MR titanium turbo helps the spool up. Fuel, ignition and boost control tables are all adjusted, together with speed limiters and boost limiters.

T-320 cars feel much more energetic than a standard car, especially around the spool up and peak torque areas.

The T-320 kit consists of the following:

  • Tokyo Motorsports 3″ stainless steel cat-back exhaust
  • Tokyo Motorsports 4.5″ polished stainless steel cannon muffler
  • Hi-Flow panel type air filter for the stock air box
  • Uprated 3-port boost control solenoid
  • Uprated fuel pump
  • Ground-up tune and remap of the ECU

Power output is raised from 275bhp to 320bhp.

Building on the T-320 kit, the T-370 kit is the second step in modifying your Evo VIII-MR and takes the stock turbos close to their airflow limit. The free flowing turbo back exhaust works in conjunction with the boost control solenoid and remapped ECU to deliver more boost and torque throughout the midrange and peak power areas. The lightweight titanium turbine wheel in the VIII-MR turbo comes into its own and works with the different VIII-MR cams to deliver good peak power numbers. Fuel, ignition and boost control tables are all adjusted, together with speed limiters and boost limiters.

T-370 cars feel much more punchy and powerful than a standard car. Spool up and peak torque areas are greatly improved and overall peak power is much more impressive than a standard car.

The T-370 kit consists of the following:

  • Tokyo Motorsports 3″ stainless steel turbo-outlet/front-pipe
  • Tokyo Motorsports 3″ stainless steel cat-back exhaust
  • Tokyo Motorsports 4.5″ polished stainless steel cannon muffler

The free flowing cat-back exhaust works in conjunction with the 3-port boost control solenoid and remapped MIVEC tables in the ECU to deliver more boost and torque midrange. Fuel, ignition, MIVEC and boost control tables are all adjusted, together with speed limiters and boost limiters.

T-330 cars feel much more energetic than a standard car, with much better spool up and peak torque.

The T-330 kit consists of the following:

  • Tokyo Motorsports 3″ stainless steel cat-back exhaust
  • Tokyo Motorsports 4.5″ polished stainless steel cannon muffler
  • BMC panel type air filter for the stock air box
  • MR type metal blow off valve
  • Uprated boost control solenoid
  • Uprated fuel pump
  • Ground-up tune and remap of the ECU

Power output is raised from 285bhp to 320bhp.

Building on the T-330 kit the T-380 kit is the second step in modifying your Evo IX and takes the stock turbos close to their limit. The free flowing turbo-back exhaust works in conjunction with the 3-port boost control solenoid and remapped MIVEC tables in the ECU to deliver more boost and torque throughout the midrange and peak power areas. The larger turbo in the Evo IX comes into its own and works with the MIVEC system to deliver good spool up and peak power numbers. Fuel, ignition, MIVEC and boost control tables are all adjusted, together with speed limiters and boost limiters.

T-380 cars feel much more punchy and powerful than a standard car. Spool up and peak torque areas are greatly improved and overall peak power is much more impressive than a standard car.

The T-380 kit consists of the following:
