Three power packages from Tokyo Motorsports designed specifically for the Evo X. Each kit builds on the previous one so you can upgrade in stages.

TMX-320

Overview:

This power upgrade package increases the engine output of the Evo X from the stock 290bhp to over 320bhp. The gains in peak power and mid-range torque make the TMX-320 equipped vehicle feel livelier throughout the rev range and significantly improve 0-100km/h times.

This stealthy kit is almost invisible to the naked eye as the only hardware changes are spark plugs and air filter; the rest is done electronically with calibration changes to the vehicles engine ECU. In particular; boost pressures are lifted, ignition timing and fuel maps are optimised and the MIVEC system is remapped.


The TMX-320 kit:

- BMC high flowing air filter

- HKS spark plugs

- Recalibration of the engine ECU (includes dyno printout)


Performance:

Real world testing has shown a half second improvement in 0-100km/h times. Our totally stock Evo X test car measured 5.6 seconds from 0-100km/h. The TMX-320 upgrade reduced this time to 5.1 seconds.

Vehicle tested was our 2009 Evo X SST with half a tank of 98 RON fuel and two people on board (driver and passenger) running in ‘Sport’ SST mode. The car was launched from 3000rpm. Testing was conducted on a dry day at 20 C on a flat road.

Stock car - 217Kw @ 6500rpm and 366Nm @ 3500rpm

TMX-320 - 245Kw @ 6500rpm and 425Nm @ 3500rpm

Stock car - 290Hp @ 6500rpm and 270lb/ft @ 3500rpm

TMX-320 - 328Hp @ 6500rpm and 315lb/ft @ 3500rpm

Power and torque figures are quoted as ‘at the flywheel’. All Tokyo Motorsports power graphs are generated using a Dynapack dynamometer which measures power and torque at the hubs. TMX power package figures are generated by simply adding our measured gains to the factory figures. In most cases this will give conservative numbers.

TMX-360

Overview:

This power upgrade package increases the engine output of the Evo X from the stock 290bhp to over 360bhp. The gains in peak power and mid-range torque make the TMX-360 equipped vehicle feel much livelier throughout the rev range and significantly improve 0-100km/h times. Gear shifting is improved and acceleration rates are much better than those of the stock car. The free flowing 3” stainless steel exhaust gives increased bottom end torque and allows for higher boost pressures at peak power.

The only visible changes to the car are the twin 4” polished exhaust tips and an upper intercooler pipe in the engine bay. Electronic changes include; increased boost pressures, optimised ignition timing and fuel maps together with more aggressive MIVEC control. Noise levels are also surprisingly low thanks to the Tokyo Motorsports stainless steel exhaust.

The TMX-360 upgrade also comes with switchable maps so you have a high and low power setting. A five second ‘long hold’ on the cruise control button switches between settings. The intercooler spray light flashes slowly to indicate the higher power setting.

TMX-400

Overview:

This power upgrade package increases the engine output of the Evo X from the stock 290bhp to over 400bhp. Elevated boost pressures throughout the rev range give a massive increase in torque and a very impressive gain in peak power. With a 50% increase in torque the TMX-400 equipped vehicle is seriously fast; with 0-100km/h times in the low four seconds. The 3” stainless steel turbo back exhaust and modified waste gate actuator give quicker spool up, increased torque throughout and allow for much higher boost pressures at peak power, which is what gives the TMX-400 the edge over the other TMX kits.

The only visible changes to the car are the twin 4” polished exhaust tips and an upper intercooler pipe in the engine bay. Electronic changes include; increased boost pressures, optimised ignition timing and fuel maps together with more aggressive MIVEC control. Noise levels are also surprisingly low thanks to the Tokyo Motorsports stainless steel exhaust.
