Power Packages for Evo IX

Then this is for you...

Two power packages from Tokyo Motorsports designed specifically for the Evo IX. One kit builds on the previous one so you can upgrade in stages.

Stage One: T-330.

Stage Two: T-380.

These power packages has been researched by us, developed by us and extensively tested by us. Guaranteed to work, and exclusive to Tokyo Motorsports, each of these packs represents a comprehensive and well balanced selection of parts designed for maximum gain with minimum spend.

T-330 Power Pack. Evo IX.

Developed as a package for the stock Evo IX. The T-330 kit raises engine output from the stock 285bhp to 330bhp.
This performance upgrade kit consists of the following:

  • A Tokyo Motorsports ‘Power’ cat back exhaust (3” stainless steel, mandrel bent).
  • A BMC panel type air filter for the stock air box.
  • An MR type metal blow off valve.
  • An HKS EVC-6 Electronic boost controller (includes custom ash tray mount).
  • A Retune of the engine ECU (includes two hours dyno time and power graph).

These modifications push the power output up by 35hp (26Kw) at the wheels at peak power (6200rpm) and a very noticeable 32Nm gain at peak torque (4500rpm) compared with stock.

Dyno figures clearly show good gains in torque throughout. There is a good gain right from the start which continues all the way through to peak power (@ 6200rpm). The largest gain in torque however is in the mid range - around 4500rpm - which is typically the driving range. The benefit of the MIVEC is clear to see, mid range torque figures are higher than that of the non MIVEC equipped vehicles with the same level of modification.
Running at 1.4bar of boost gives a 32Nm (at the wheels) gain at peak torque which makes the vehicle feel much more energetic and gives a vastly improved throttle response.

A great first stage upgrade for stock vehicles.

Stock power output of a stock Evo IX is 227hp (170Kw) at the wheels*
This kit will increase the power output to approx 272hp (203Kw) at the wheels*
This power upgrade is emissions compliant and will all pass ‘CO’ and ‘Five Gas’ emissions tests**

T-380 Power Pack. Evo IX.

Developed as a package for the stock Evo IX (and also as an upgrade from the T-330 Power Pack). The T-370 kit raises engine output from the stock 285bhp to 380bhp.
This performance upgrade package consists of the following:

  • A Tokyo Motorsports ‘Power’ cat back exhaust (3” stainless steel, mandrel bent).
  • A Tomei Expreme front and dump pipe kit.
  • A Tokyo Motorsports 3" high flowing stainless steel CAT.
  • A BMC panel type air filter for the stock air box.
  • An MR Type metal blow off valve.
  • A Plazmaman silicone suction pipe.
  • An HKS EVC-6 Electronic boost controller (includes custom ash tray mount).
  • A Walbro 255 high flowing fuel pump.
  • A Retune of the engine ECU (includes three hours dyno time and power graph).

These modifications push the power output up by 75hp (57Kw) at the wheels at peak power (@ 6200rpm) and a very noticeable 90Nm gain at peak torque (@ 4600rpm) compared with stock.

Dyno figures clearly show significant gains in torque throughout. There is a good gain right from the start which continues all the way through to peak power (@ 6200rpm). The largest gain in torque however is in the mid range - around 4600rpm - which is typically the driving range. The benefit of the MIVEC is easy to see, mid range torque figures are significantly higher than that of the non MIVEC equipped vehicles with the same level of modification.
Running at 1.5bar of boost gives a massive 87Nm (at the wheels) gain at peak torque which makes the vehicle feel extremely powerful. Add that to the wide spread of torque with lightning throttle response (courtesy of the remapped MIVEC) and you have a seriously quick car which is a lot of fun to drive..!

A massive improvement over the stock vehicle.
(or as an upgrade from the T-330 kit).

T-400 Power Pack. Evo IX.

The T-400 is still in development.

Currently the dyno figures show a very respectable 425NM of torque at the wheels @4500rpm (which is a gain of 130Kw gain over the std car). Power is just short of 230Kw at the wheels which equates to 385bhp, very close to our target of 400bhp.
We are testing this kit on our R&D car - TOKYO, and the results are very encouraging..!
The extra torque makes the car feel extremely strong from around 3500rpm reaching peak power at 6200rpm. We have clocked the 0-100 time at a very impressive 4.0 secs.

The T-400 kit on the Evo IX may produce more power than our target of 400bhp. We expect the larger gain however to be in  torque. The larger turbo, and supporting modifications, will allow us to maximise the potential of the MIVEC system which will give us substantial gains in mid range torque over non MIVEC equipped vehicles.

It is important to note that in order to make these kits emissions compliant we are having to retain the standard camshafts.
