The correct angle for harness shoulder straps exiting from the rear of the seat is no more than five degrees from the horizontal plane. It is possible on an Evo to utilise the OEM seat belt anchor points for the rear seat belts just under the rear seat. This however puts the angle of the shoulder straps very close to the CAMS maximum allowable angle of forty degrees. It is far from ideal and will increase the risk of injury in the event of an impact.

We can solve this problem by welding in driver and passenger seat belt mounts just below the parcel shelf. It means that you will need to run without rear seats while you are using the belts but it will not affect the way that the rear seat fits so you can easily install it again later.
